  • Diane Bellenger, Gabriele Lodder, Robin McCondichie and Suzi Zefting-Kuhn were juried into the 2018 Rochester Art Club Signature Member Exhibition. Show opens to the public Friday, Feb. 2.  Reception is Friday, Feb. 9  6-7:30pm in the Patricia O’Keefe Ross Gallery, Skalny Welcome Center, St John Fisher College, Rochester. Show runs through Feb. 27.
  • Suzi Zefting-Kuhn won Second Place in the 2017 Savvy Painter Online Painting Competition with her pastel, ‘I Have My Eye on You’. Her award consisted of gift cards from Trekell Art Supplies, Gamblin, $150 cash and a 20 minute podcast on Savvy Painter. https://savvypainter.com/podcast/benefit-part-art-community-taking-risks-julie-beck/  Suzi is about an hour in to the podcast but the podcast in its entirety is worth listening to.

  • Robin McCondichie’s ‘Little Canyon’ was juried into the Pastel Society of North Carolina’s Online Exhibition titled ‘Pure Color 2017’ which begins September 1 and can be seen on www.OnlineJuriedShows.com  

 

  • Colette Savage has recently accepted the position of Chairman of Suburban Rochester Art Group.
    Colette Savage will once again teach Pastel Painting at the Art Stop LLC, located at the 4 corners in Penfield. Classes start Tuesday, September 26th. Please contact the Art Stop at (585) 872-5710 or go to artstopllc.com for more information.
    Colette Savage will be displaying work in Artist Row at the Public Market on Sunday, September 17th and at the Rochester Museum and
    Science Center’s Holiday Bazaar show and sale on November 17, 18 and 19.

Tasevski received 3rd place for her pastel painting ‘Rose of Sharon’ at the Fine Arts League of Buffalo’s 64th Annual Spring Juried Open Exhibition. The show runs from April 1-May 1 at the River Art Gallery on 83 Webster Street, North Tonawanda, NY.

  • Kath DeWitt Hess, Colette Savage and Kirt Lapham are participating in the Greater Rochester Plein Air Painters 2017 Members Show at the Victor Brewing Company , 160 School Street, Victor,NY. The reception is January 8,2017 from 1 to 4 pm. It runs through the month….
  • Andrea Tasevski  was recently accepted into the Buffalo Society of Artists, which is the third oldest continually operating arts organizations in the country. The BSA was started in 1891 to promote and expand the awareness of Wester New York.
  • Suzi Zefting-Kuhn has been named a finalist in the 2016 Art Renewal Center’s International Salon with her pastel ‘I Have My Eye on You’. Awards will be announced in early November. There were over 3000 entries with a 1006 being accepted as finalists.

  • Patricia Tribastone, MP-PSA, MC-IAPS won First Place in the 2016 Painting and Photography Exhibit at the Arts Center of Yates County for ‘Whose Egg is it Anyway?’.  Robin McCondichie won second place in the exhibit for ‘Frozen Shadows’. Other PSWNY members juried into this exhibit were Kathy Houston, Denise Rizzo and Karlene VanDeusen. The show runs from June 6-July 18.

  • Patricia Tribastone, M-PSA, MC-IAPS has an article on Jean-Etienne Liotard in the Great Pastels section of the June 2016 Pastel Journal magazine. You can view it on page 72 of that issue.

  • PSWNY member Suzi Zefting-Kuhn has a pastel pencil portrait drawing titled ‘Tigress’ juried into the 83rd Annual Hudson Valley Art Association National Juried Exhibition. The exhibition will be held at the historic Salmagundi Club in NYC. Reception is April 1, 2016 5-8pm.

  • Andrea Tasevski, our newest PSWNY member, has five pastel paintings in the new Main Street Gallery, 515 Main St., Buffalo NY 14203. The show is titled: Resurgence: Growth of a City and a People. It opened January 22nd and closes the beginning of March.
